Jamshedpur Gears Up for Grand Republic Day Celebrations with Key Officials
In Jamshedpur, Deputy Development Commissioner Praveen Kumar Gagrai leads a detailed review meeting to ensure timely preparations for the Republic Day celebrations, highlighting the importance of showcasing government welfare schemes through departmental tableaux.
JAMSHEDPUR – The upcoming Republic Day celebrations in Jamshedpur are set to display the government’s welfare schemes, art, and culture through various departmental tableaux. Deputy Development Commissioner Shri Praveen Kumar Gagrai, in a recent review meeting, emphasized the significance of this event, scheduled for 26th January. The Honorable Tribal Welfare cum Transport Minister, Government of Jharkhand, Shri Champai Soren, will be the chief guest.
Gagrai stressed the importance of timely preparations, instructing officials to submit tableau proposals by January 21st.
During the meeting, various logistical aspects, including parade rehearsals at Lord Birsa Munda Stadium and flower parade inspection by the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, were discussed.
The parade will feature three platoons of police, home guards, CRPF, and school home guards.
Moreover, the Executive Officer Seraikela Nagar Panchayat received directives to ensure adequate drinking water availability at the main venue.
The meeting also focused on maintaining cleanliness at the main venue, square, and pastures.
Furthermore, awareness initiatives were discussed, urging the local public not to sell meat, fish, or consume liquor during the celebrations.
The Project Director ITDA, District Transport Officer, District Supply Officer, and other departmental officers attended the meeting, highlighting their roles in the successful conduct of the event.
