TUSU Fair in Jamshedpur Offers Cash Prizes for Idol, Dance Competitions
Jharkhand Vasi Ekta Manch’s TUSU fair at Bistupur Gopal Maidan promises a cultural feast with various competitions and attractive cash prizes.
JAMSHEDPUR – The TUSU fair, organized annually by the Jharkhand Vasi Ekta Manch, is set to take place at Bistupur Gopal Maidan on January 21st.
Manch convenor and MP Vidyut Varan Mahato, along with Chief Convenor Aastik Mahato, announced the event details in a press conference at Sonari Nirmal Bhawan.
Participants bringing Tusu idols (Chaudal) and performing in the Budhi Gaadi dance competition can expect generous cash prizes.
The fair, a cultural staple since its inception in 2006 by former MP Late Sunil Mahato, aims to preserve Jharkhand’s rich traditions.
This year’s fair will see participants from various districts of Jharkhand, as well as from West Bengal and Orissa.
Vidyut Mahato mentioned that participants would start arriving at the grounds from 10 am, and along with cash prizes, consolation prizes will be distributed in different categories.
The event is anticipated to attract lakhs of visitors, immersing them in the vibrant culture of Jharkhand.
Aastik Mahato assured that all necessary protective measures will be in place to manage the large crowds expected.
Key members present at the announcement included Phanindra Mahato, Sukhdev Mahato, Bablu Mahato, and many others.
Prizes announced include up to Rs 31 thousand for Tusu statues, Rs 25 thousand for Chaudal, and Rs 15 thousand for the Budhi Gaadi dance competition, among others.
