Karim City College Hosts Finance and Marketing Seminar

M.Com students present papers on NABARD, business growth, and fund management

Karim City College’s Commerce Department organizes seminar on finance and marketing for postgraduate students.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Postgraduate Department of Commerce at Karim City College hosted a one-day seminar on finance and marketing for M.Com Semester-4 students.

Over 60 students participated in the event, presenting papers on six significant sub-themes.

The seminar topics included the role of NABARD in the Indian economy and diversification strategies for business growth.

Students also explored derivative hedging strategies, working capital management, and the impact of sales promotion on new products.

A comparative study of ULIP plans and traditional funds was among the topics discussed.

Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, Principal of Karim City College, presided over the seminar.

In his address, Dr. Reyaz emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication for success.

He encouraged students to devote 6-8 hours daily to their studies and pursue JRF and NET qualifications.

Dr. Md. Moazzam Nazri, Head of the PG Department of Commerce, elaborated on the seminar’s objectives.

He highlighted NABARD’s crucial role in promoting sustainable agricultural and rural development in India.

"These topics have a direct impact on our nation’s economy, and it’s crucial for students to explore them deeply," Dr. Nazri stated.

Key faculty members, including Dr. G. Vijayalaksmi and Dr. Syed Zahid Perwaiz, contributed to the seminar’s success.

Dr. Rashmi Akhtar conducted the seminar proceedings, ensuring smooth presentations and discussions.
