The shooting incident, which occurred on Sunday night around 10:30 pm near Jugsalai Murgi Chowk, was reportedly linked to an ongoing extortion dispute.

Majeed, a tire shopkeeper, and his friend Alam told the police they were returning from a party when they were confronted and shot by a group led by Mujahid alias Bablu Khan, Vicky, Altamas, and Sabbo.

According to Majeed, the conflict stemmed from his refusal to pay extortion money to the group, which had previously resulted in an attack on his shop.
