Sunil Kumar Announces 5200 km Road Completion in Jharkhand

Jharkhand’s road and building infrastructure sees significant progress, with 5200 km of roads constructed in four years.

RANCHI – Principal Secretary of Road Construction Department, Sunil Kumar, has announced a remarkable achievement in Jharkhand’s infrastructure development.

Under the Chief Minister’s guidance, the Road and Building Construction Departments have made substantial progress.

In the past four years, 5200 kilometers of roads have been completed, with ongoing work on another 4600 kilometers.

Kumar highlighted that 95 percent of the budget was utilized in the past four years, with 60 percent already spent in the current fiscal year.

The state, in collaboration with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), is spearheading several road projects, including the Bharatmala project with an investment of Rs 2500 crore.

Urban and rural road development is a key focus, with initiatives like Ranchi’s Inner Ring Road and the Outer Ring Road, along with flyovers and Expressway Corridors.

Additionally, buildings like Jharkhand Bhawan are nearing completion, showcasing the state’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructural landscape.

This comprehensive development strategy, involving both road and building construction, aims to facilitate better connectivity and community facilities across Jharkhand.
