Jamshedpur Police Unravel Rs 17 Lakh Fake Theft Plot, Arrests Made
An elaborate scam involving a staged theft of Rs 17 lakh from Kohinoor Steel Pvt. Ltd. employee’s home in Jamshedpur is foiled by the police, leading to multiple arrests.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a late-night revelation on December 26, Jamshedpur police cracked a sophisticated theft case involving Kohinoor Steel Pvt. Ltd. employee Satyendra Singh and his associates.
The police apprehended Singh and three accomplices for staging a theft of Rs 17 lakh from Singh’s residence in Bagbera Colony.
Investigators recovered Rs 1 lakh 99 thousand 500, a scooter, a car, chemicals, and five mobile phones linked to the crime.
The scheme unfolded when Singh, influenced by associates Inderjeet Kumar Singh and Arvind Chaudhary, sought to double his money through dubious means.
They enlisted Ramesh alias Sikandar from Bihar and his nephew to demonstrate money-doubling techniques at Singh’s house.
Subsequently, Singh fabricated a theft story for the company’s collection money, misleading the police initially.
During interrogation, Singh confessed to the plot, revealing that the money was handed over to Ramesh, known for similar criminal activities.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Sumit Aggarwal disclosed Singh’s initial attempts to deceive the authorities.
Ramesh alias Sikandar has been arrested in Bihar, where the police found cash, vehicles, fraudulent materials, and mobile phones.
Efforts to capture Ramesh’s absconding nephew are ongoing as the police continue their investigations into this complex scam.
