Tata Steel invites applications for the Millennium Scholarship 2022-2023, supporting education of employees’ families with 10% seats reserved for SC/ST candidates.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has announced the opening of applications for its Millennium Scholarship for the financial year 2022-2023, aimed at supporting the educational aspirations of its employees’ families.

This scholarship is open to sons, daughters, husbands, and wives of current and former employees and officers of Tata Steel.

The deadline for submitting applications is set for 29th February, with an online application process in place.

In a move to promote inclusivity, 10% of the scholarship seats are reserved specifically for SC and ST candidates.

A total of 60 seats are reserved for individuals associated with the Employee Stock Scheme (ESS) or Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS), divided into 20 seats in Category A and 40 in Category B.

Category A scholarships, with a total of 120 seats, are awarded to candidates admitted to specified institutions, including MBBS courses through NEET, offering an annual aid of Rs 50,000.

Category B comprises 240 scholarships, each amounting to Rs 24,000 annually, and includes support for children of officers and beneficiaries of the Sunhari Bhavishya Yojana (SBKY 2.0).

Eligibility criteria mandate a minimum of 60% marks for General category and 50% for SC/ST students in their final qualifying exams, with admission through an All India Competitive Selection Process.

The scholarship committee’s decisions are final, and recipients of other scholarships are ineligible.

Continued scholarship depends on maintaining satisfactory performance and conduct, with a 50% minimum in all courses of study.

A limit of two scholarships per employee’s child is set, and any false declarations may lead to disciplinary action.

Required application documents include Xerox copies of mark sheets, a passport-size photograph, and other details as specified in the application form.
