JAMSHEDPUR – On December 25, 2023, a statue commemorating the late Nirmal Mahato, a foundational figure of the Jharkhand movement, will be unveiled.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am at Mukrudih-Haludbani turn, Bodam, in the Jugsalai assembly.
Former Jharkhand minister and Central Principal General Secretary of the Ajsu Party, Ramchandra Sahis, will have the honor of unveiling the statue.
Nirmal Mahato’s impact on Jharkhand’s political landscape was profound.
His legacy continues to be revered and claimed by various political factions within Jharkhand.
Though closely linked with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, his influence extends across the political spectrum, with many activists in the region drawing inspiration from his work.
