JAMSHEDPUR – DAV School Bistupur celebrated National Mathematics Day on Friday, December 22, with great enthusiasm.

Bistupur’s Public School commemorated National Mathematics Day on December 22, 2023, paying tribute to the esteemed Indian Mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan, on his birth anniversary.

The day honors Ramanujan’s contributions to mathematics and highlights the importance of math in different areas of life.

The remarkable individual, despite various obstacles and limited formal education, revolutionized mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions.

His life is truly exemplary.

National Mathematics Day highlights the significance of mathematics in science, technology, and the economy.

Mathematics is crucial in many fields, such as physics, engineering, computer science, and finance, driving societal progress.

The students of class V-IX were involved in a variety of activities under the supervision of the Maths Department at the school, led by Ms. Sumita Kumari and Mr. D.K. Sinha, the Head of the Maths Department.

Class IX students, Samriddhi Singh and Shambhavi Srivastava, recently hosted a seminar on the topic of ‘Overcoming the Fear of Maths.

Class VI students organized a Dress-Up Parade, showcasing legendary mathematicians, shapes, and formulas.

Class VII recently had a ‘Movie Day’ where they had the opportunity to enjoy a biopic on Ramanujan.

National Mathematics Day honors the remarkable achievements of Srinivasa Ramanujan and celebrates the timeless power of mathematics.

The school commemorated the immense influence of mathematics on our existence and acknowledge its potential to shape our future.
