XLRI Jamshedpur’s SIGMA-Oikos Secures Top Spot in Impact Contest

XLRI’s student-run delegation, SIGMA-oikos Jamshedpur, triumphs in the Community Impact Contest with its Basic Learning Programme.

JAMSHEDPUR -In a remarkable achievement, SIGMA-oikos Jamshedpur, a student-run delegation from XLRI, has been crowned the winner of the Community Impact Contest.

Their winning initiative, the Basic Learning Programme (BLP), was organized by the XLRI Jamshedpur chapter of Sigma-oikos.

The BLP, this year, focused on empowering over 30 students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Participants gained foundational knowledge in Maths, English, and Computers across 12 sessions, showcasing the program’s commitment to educational upliftment.

This initiative is a testament to XLRI and SIGMA-oikos’s dedication to creating positive societal changes and fostering a better future.

Currently, the BLP, along with several other initiatives, has become a cornerstone of their work, perfectly embodying XLRI’s ethos of "For the Greater Good."

XLRI sources said that such endeavors not only benefit the direct recipients but also reinforce the role of educational institutions in community service and social responsibility.

XLRI management said that the victory in the Community Impact Contest highlights the significant contributions of XLRI and SIGMA-oikos towards enhancing education and providing opportunities for those in need.
