Carmel Community College’s 8th Batch Graduates in Office Management

Carmel Community College’s graduation ceremony highlights student success and employment readiness in Office Management.

JAMSHEDPUR – Sacred Heart Convent School, Bistupur, hosted the graduation ceremony for the 8th batch of Carmel Community College’s 1-year Diploma in Office Management on December 18.

36 proud students received their diplomas in a ceremony attended by dignitaries and families.

Sowmya Jandhyala, Trust Officer of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, was the Chief Guest.

Sr. Mira A.C., Superior and Manager of Sacred Heart Convent School, Sr. Rashmita A.C., Principal, and Sr. Laveena A.C., Incharge of Carmel Community College, were also present.

The diploma course equips students with skills in Basic Computers, Accounting, Tally, Communication Skills, Functional English, Life Skills, and Office Management.

Following a 2-month internship, an impressive 31 out of 36 students have already secured employment.

Shruti Bharti, a graduate, shared her journey from being an Arts graduate unable to find employment to gaining a job in the Accounts Department at Triveni Engicons Pvt Ltd after completing the course.

The course, initiated by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters in July 2015, focuses on professional training for underprivileged women and includes an Event Management credit course.

The 9th batch is currently underway since September 8, 2023.

Sr. Rashmita A.C. expressed pride in the students’ growth and courage, urging local organizations to support these skilled women.

The ceremony not only celebrated the graduates’ achievements but also underscored the college’s commitment to empowering women through education.
