Covid-19 takes 10 lives in East Singhbhum, total death toll 228

132 more people test positive, total infections now 5738

Jamshedpur: Covid-19 has taken 10 lives in East Singhbhum on Wednesday. 9 persons died in TMH, while 1 person died in MGMCH. With this the total death toll for the city has reached 228. Out of these 203 are from Jamshedpur, while other 25 are from outside the district.

Those who died on Wednesday include an 80-year-old from Haldipokhar, a 63-year-old from Telco, 61-year-old from Sakchi, 68-year-old man from Birsanagar, 36-year-old from Bistupur, 55-year-old from Baridih, 77-year-old woman from Kadma and 73-year-old from Parsudih.

This takes the total death toll for the city to 203, while in all 228 persons have died in the city hospitals including those from outside the district.

Meanwhile, 132 new positive cases were detected in East Singhbhum on Wednesday. The total number of positive cases in East Singhbhum has now reached 5738. Meanwhile, 164 patients were also cured. Till date 3508 persons have been cured and discharged.
