JAMSHEDPUR – Railway Week Central Function in New Delhi was a showcase of exemplary achievements and recognition, as 100 railway employees received the prestigious Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) for their outstanding contributions during 2022-23.
11 Railway Employees from South East Railways were conferred Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar.
Assistant Signal & Telecommunication Engineer from Ranchi Division, Surendra Kumar Singh, was acknowledged for his leadership and execution skills, particularly in commissioning Electronic Interlocking at strategic locations.
Md Pyar Ali of Kharagpur Division played a pivotal role in completing important RVNL projects on time, thanks to his meticulous planning.
Adra Division’s Shri Arvind Pradeep S, as Divisional Operations Manager, was instrumental in achieving the best RR dispatch from Bokaro steel plant in a financial year.
Loco Pilot Shri Narhari Das from Rourkela, Chakradharpur Division, was celebrated for his quick thinking in averting a potential train accident.
RPF’s Shri Anoop Lal Rajak from Tatanagar saved a passenger’s life in a critical moment, demonstrating exceptional bravery and quick response.
Head Constable Shri Manuj Kumar of Ranchi was honored for his life-saving action at Ranchi station, exemplifying dedication and quick reflexes in emergency situations.
Technician Ms. Shalini, a dependable and skilled professional at Nimpura, Kharagpur Division, was recognized for her commitment to the timely repair of wagons.
Samaresh Tapna of SER, the in-charge of the PPM Cell, was lauded for elevating the PRS revenue share of SER through his innovative and analytical skills.
Ronald W A Braggs, Chief Commercial Inspector of SER, was commended for his effective strategies in ticket checking and prevention of fraud, significantly boosting railway revenue.
Sportsperson Satyajit Mondal of SER was acknowledged for setting a benchmark in self-worth through his achievements in National and International Gymnastics Tournaments.
The ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, was graced by the Union Minister of Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, who also presented 21 Shields for promoting best practices. He emphasized the transformation under PM Modi’s leadership, highlighting the significant electrification progress, shift in budgeting practices, and the importance of the railway sector in India’s economic growth. The Minister also discussed the substantial savings in logistics costs through railway transport and India’s ascent to a leading global economy, attributing these successes to the dedicated efforts of railway employees.
