BJP Alleges Corruption in Jharkhand Government Post IT Raid on Congress MP
BJP holds statewide protests in Jharkhand, highlighting alleged corruption in Hemant government after IT raid uncovers Rs 300 crore.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a major political upheaval, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharkhand has mounted a significant protest against the Congress Party and the state’s Hemant Soren-led government.
This follows the Income Tax Department’s raid on Congress Rajya Sabha member Dheeraj Sahu’s properties, where over Rs 300 crore was reportedly found.
BJP’s city workers in Jamshedpur took to the streets to raise public awareness about the alleged corruption.
Senior BJP leaders, including Leader of the Opposition Amar Bauri and former MLA Maneka Sardar, led the protest.
Their demonstration was marked by anti-government slogans and banners, voicing strong opposition to the current administration.
Rocky Singh, Sakchi East Division’s General Secretary, delivered a vote of thanks, while Anil Modi managed the event’s proceedings.
During the protest, Amar Bauri vehemently criticized the Congress Party and Jharkhand’s Hemant government.
He linked the recovered cash to the Congress’s alleged corruption, contrasting it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s anti-corruption stance.
Bauri also implicated the Hemant government in the state’s mineral wealth exploitation, worsening law and order situation, and supporting criminal activities.
He expressed concerns about the impact of these actions on various community groups and predicted the downfall of the Hemant government in upcoming elections.
Gunjan Yadav, BJP Jamshedpur Metropolitan President, also condemned the Congress and Hemant administration, accusing them of neglecting development and public interest.
The protest saw speeches from other BJP leaders, emphasizing the party’s stance on the alleged corruption and misgovernance in Jharkhand.
