Jamshedpur East MLA Urges Immediate Action on Development Schemes in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy calls for expedited implementation of local development schemes in a crucial meeting.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy conducted a significant meeting with the Additional Municipal Commissioner and other key officials and engineers at the Jamshedpur Access Office.

The primary focus was on addressing various public issues and the progress of development schemes within his assembly constituency.

Detailed discussions were held on numerous public concerns, with a strong emphasis on their swift implementation.

Roy expressed dissatisfaction over the delayed start of construction for two roads planned in 2019-20 and multiple schemes slated for 2022-23.

He firmly directed the Additional Municipal Commissioner to initiate these projects without further delay.

The Additional Municipal Commissioner assured prompt action on these schemes, mentioning the possibility of blacklisting contractors who fail to commence work.

Roy emphasized the need for quick tendering of hundreds of schemes already selected by the District Planning Selection Committee, based on allocations from the Urban Development Department.

He instructed the acceleration of projects funded by both the MLA Fund and the Urban Development Department.

Specific attention was given to the effective utilization of the 15th Finance Commission funds for the development of riverine areas and their surroundings.

The construction of a road from Bhuiyandih Litti Chowk to the Bhuiyandih river bank was also highlighted.

Further, Roy instructed the employment of additional engineers to expedite the scheme measurement processes.

Improvements in the area’s sanitation system were discussed, emphasizing the need for betterment.

Roy proposed a meeting with JUSCO to advance the Moharda drinking water project and initiate its second phase.

He suggested an innovative approach to water supply, proposing the use of water from Chandil Dam instead of river sources to reduce pollution and treatment costs.

Other topics included dRoynage development, year-round dRoyn cleaning, road naming and organization in Birsanagar colony, drone mapping of vacant government lands, construction of a stadium in Birsanagar Gudiya Maidan, and the timely completion of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Park in Jamka.

The meeting also covered the operation of community buildings, maintenance of Son Mandap, Nagar Bhawan, Yatri Niwas, and parks in the Jamshedpur access area.
