JAMSHEDPUR – Contract laborers of UCIL’s Bagjata Uranium Project in Musabani block of East Singhbhum staged a protest against the company on Sunday.

The workers alleged that despite UCIL being a Government of India undertaking, nearly 300 contract workers had been deprived of basic labor rights for over 22 years. Protesters demanded night allowance, casual leave, and proper medical facilities.

The laborers accused the management of ignoring their long-standing issues. They warned that if their demands were not met, they would launch a stronger agitation against the company in the coming days.
