Saryu Roy Lambastes Dr. Ajoy Kumar Over Bhuiyandih Notice Issue in Jamshedpur

Saryu Roy accuses Ajoy Kumar of spreading false claims regarding the Bhuiyandih dwellers’ notices, challenging his motives.

Saryu Roy has called out Ajoy Kumar for misleading remarks about notices to demolish houses in Bhuiyandih, insisting that Kumar clarify his stance on the matter.

JAMSHEDPUR – Saryu Roy, a prominent figure in Jharkhand politics, has criticized Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar for allegedly spreading misinformation about notices sent to residents of Bhuiyandih in Jamshedpur.

Roy Challenges Kumar’s Statements

During a recent Facebook Live address, Roy questioned the accuracy of Dr. Ajoy Kumar’s comments linking notices for the demolition of 150 houses in Bhuiyandih to a letter by Union Minister Arjun Munda and an order from the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

He demanded that Kumar read Munda’s letter carefully and point out where it mentions the demolition of the houses in question.

Roy emphasized that Dr. Kumar’s allegations are baseless and intended to mislead the public for political gain.

He also insisted that if Dr. Kumar genuinely cared about the matter, he should have raised the issue with his own party’s government.

Political Motivation Behind the Allegations?

Roy accused Kumar of deliberately distorting facts to stir controversy.

He revealed that the letter from Arjun Munda, which was recently made public by Roy himself, does not mention any instructions for demolishing houses in Indira Nagar or Kalyan Nagar.

He accused Dr. Kumar of sensationalizing the issue without verifying the contents of Munda’s letter and including Roy in the controversy due to his perceived closeness with Munda.

“Dr. Ajoy Kumar seems more interested in creating an election narrative rather than addressing real concerns,” Roy stated.

According to Roy, Kumar’s interest in the Jamshedpur East seat is driving him to lower the standards of political discourse.

NGT Orders and Local Government’s Role

Roy clarified that the NGT’s Kolkata Bench ordered a survey of houses along the Swarnrekha River, but it was the local authorities who decided to issue notices for demolitions.

He questioned Dr. Kumar’s silence on why notices were issued to residents in Indira Nagar and Kalyan Nagar, asking him to explain the actions of his own party’s government.

Roy also brought up the involvement of the Jharkhand government’s committee led by the Water Resources Secretary, which conducted a separate survey in the adjoining areas, highlighting inconsistencies in actions taken by different government bodies.

“Dr. Kumar should be holding his government accountable instead of dragging unrelated parties into the fray,” Roy argued.

He urged Kumar to clarify his position on the matter and to stop misleading the public for political gain.
