Senior Jharkhand State Basketball Championship Kicks Off in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur Basketball Association’s prestigious tournament sees 25 teams competing, with a focus on boosting player morale and recognition.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Basketball Association is hosting the 23rd Senior Jharkhand State Basketball Championship at the Community Center.

The event, concluding on November 26th, has drawn about 25 teams from across Jharkhand.

Over 250 players from the state have gathered in Jamshedpur to participate in this prestigious event.

Harbhajan Singh, President of the Association, extended a warm welcome to all attendees.

General Secretary JP Singh elaborated on the objectives of organizing the tournament.

Guests were honored with bouquets of flowers and mementos as a token of appreciation.

The inauguration ceremony’s chief guest was Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr. Kishore Kaushal.

Dignitaries like Vashishtha of the Jharkhand Pradesh Gurdwara Committee, Sardar Shailendra Singh, Director of KPS Kadma, and others graced the event.

Mr. Kaushal praised the tournament’s organization and emphasized the need for greater respect and enthusiasm for players in the country.

The tournament’s first day witnessed Jamshedpur defeating Seraikela with a score of 55-28, led by Akhilesh.

The organizing committee, headed by Arif Aftab, ensured a smooth and competitive spirit throughout the event.

Such tournaments are crucial in promoting basketball and recognizing sports talents in the region.

The event also serves as a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and compete at higher levels.
