Jamshedpur to Host IPL Fan Park Event on March 30-31

IPL matches to be screened live at Transport Ground in Agrico, Jamshedpur

Steel City is set to become a cricket enthusiast’s paradise with the IPL Fan Park event scheduled for March 30-31, 2024, at Transport Ground in Agrico, offering live screenings on massive LED screens, recreational zones, and more.

JAMSHEDPUR – The cricket fever is set to hit Jamshedpur as the city gears up to host the IPL Fan Park, an exhilarating event for cricket lovers to experience the thrill of live matches on giant screens, creating a stadium-like ambiance right in Steel City.

Ashish Sinha, a committee member of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), was among the dignitaries who unveiled plans for the upcoming IPL Fan Park during a recent press conference.

JSCA’s D Uma Rao announced that the Transport Ground would feature exclusive facilities, including a VIP lounge and a food court, aiming to draw around 10,000 visitors over the weekend.

"In addition to viewing the matches, fans will have the chance to win autographed IPL team jerseys through a lucky draw by registering at the event," Rao shared, emphasizing the unique opportunities available for attendees.

The IPL Fan Park will showcase three high-octane matches across two days, with the event kicking off with a clash between the Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings on March 30.

Anand Datar, BCCI’s Senior Manager (Operations), highlighted the Fan Park’s inclusive setup, noting areas specifically designed for disabled and elderly fans, alongside a children’s recreational zone, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all.

"The experience will be enhanced by the screening of matches on 32x18ft LED screens, mirroring the excitement of watching live from the stadium," Datar explained, detailing the immersive experience planned for cricket enthusiasts.

The initiative by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to bring the IPL Fan Park to Jamshedpur underscores the city’s growing prominence as a hub for cricketing events, promising an unforgettable weekend for fans of all ages.
