Panchayat Samiti Members Boycott Meeting, Express Dissatisfaction at BDO Apathy

Members of the Panchayat Samiti in Jamshedpur boycott a meeting, accusing the Block Development Officer of neglect and failure to provide necessary information.

JAMSHEDPUR – Discontent simmered among Panchayat Samiti members of Jamshedpur as they boycotted a meeting in the Block Development Officer’s office, accusing the officer of neglect and lack of transparency.

The Panchayat representatives expressed their displeasure towards the Block Development Officer, questioning his work ethic.

Despite their grievances being voiced out, they claimed no resolution has been reached so far.

Block Chief Panu Soren pointed out that the Block Development Officer does not maintain a fixed office schedule, keeping the Panchayat representatives uninformed about important matters.

He further alleged that the Block Development Officer carries out his duties without involving or informing the Panchayat representatives, leading to the decision to boycott the meeting.
