CHAKULIA – A protest march was organized in Chakulia on Monday to oppose the reported atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. The march began from the Rasmanch in Purana Bazaar, led by Swami Hansanand Giri Maharaj, Anand Brahmachari of Tulsibani Shivram Ashram, and other prominent figures, including Lakshmi Narayan Das and Dinesh Singh.
Participants carried flags and placards with slogans such as “Stop atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh” while marching through the town.
Protest March and Memorandum
The march passed through the main market road and reached the Gaushala in Naya Bazaar before proceeding to the Block Office. A delegation of leaders then met Block Development Officer Aarti Munda and handed over a memorandum addressed to the President and Prime Minister of India. The memorandum demanded immediate action to end the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh and addressed several other related concerns.
Widespread Participation
The protest saw participation from notable individuals such as Dr. A.C. Jha, Chandra Dev Mahato, Rajesh Kumar Lodha, Deepak Kumar Jhunjhunwala, and many others. Hundreds of citizens, including women from the Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan’s Chakulia branch, joined the march. Leaders such as Rita Devi Lodha, Rajshri Rungta, Uma Lodha, and Radha Sharma were also present, showcasing the solidarity of the community against these atrocities.
