Ranchi celebrates an encore Diwali to welcome PM Modi, featuring fireworks, Nagpuri songs by Padmashri Madhu Mansoori Hasmukh, and public enthusiasm.

RANCHI – Ranchi witnessed an extraordinary celebration, reminiscent of Diwali, in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. Orchestrated by local MP Sanjay Seth, the city was alive with fireworks and cultural festivities, setting an exuberant tone for the Prime Minister’s arrival.

In a vibrant display of local culture, Padmashri Madhu Mansoori Hasmukh graced the stage with Nagpuri songs, enchanting the gathered crowds.

People of all ages, brimming with anticipation, gathered at Argora Square.

They held photographs bearing the word “Johar,” a traditional greeting, showcasing their eagerness to welcome PM Modi.

Ranchi MP’s efforts were instrumental in creating this unique celebration. He encouraged the people of Ranchi to extend the Diwali festivities, from the festival itself to the Chhath celebrations, in light of the Prime Minister’s visit.

This initiative saw residents lighting lamps on their rooftops and using their mobile phone flashlights as beacons of welcome for PM Modi.

The celebratory atmosphere began even before the Prime Minister’s plane touched down at Birsa Munda Airport, with a round of fireworks led by MP Sanjay Seth.

PM Modi’s visit coincides with the Tribal Pride Day, a celebration marking the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda.

On Wednesday, the Prime Minister’s itinerary includes a visit to the Birsa Munda Memorial Park cum Freedom Fighter Museum at Jail Mod in Ranchi.

Following his time there, he is scheduled to proceed to Khunti, further engaging with the rich cultural and historical tapestry of Jharkhand.
