RANCHI – Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s arrival in Ranchi, Jharkhand, was marked by a grand welcome, even late at night, underlining the strong bond between the leader and the state’s populace.
Greeted at Birsa Munda Airport by Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Hemant Soren, PM Modi witnessed the vibrant Chhau dance, a symbol of the region’s rich cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister’s journey from the airport was transformed into an impromptu roadshow. Along the way, from Birsa Chowk to Raj Bhavan, he was met with enthusiastic crowds, showering him with flowers and chanting supportive slogans.

PM Modi reciprocated the warmth, engaging with the crowd, shaking hands, and acknowledging their greetings.
This show of public support was echoed by local leaders. Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato reflected on the people’s enthusiasm, while former state BJP president Dr Dineshanand Goswami remarked on the overwhelming welcome.

Babulal Marandi, highlighting PM Modi’s commitment to the tribal community, noted his role in appointing Draupadi Murmu as Jharkhand’s Governor and later as India’s first tribal woman President.
CM Hemant Soren also expressed his respect, welcoming PM Modi to Jharkhand, a land with a rich legacy of tribal heroes.
This visit, including Modi’s stay at Raj Bhavan and his planned visit to Ulihatu, the birthplace of tribal icon Aba Birsa Munda, underscores the Prime Minister’s deep connection with Jharkhand and its tribal heritage.
