Tata Steel’s Art in Industry to Illuminate Jamshedpur from Oct 31 to Nov 4

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s annual Art in Industry event, an initiative that originated in 1943, will welcome art aficionados to explore over 70 priceless artworks, as well as attend camps aimed at nurturing budding talent. The event kicks off on October 31 and will run until November 4 at the Centre for Excellence (CFE), open to the public daily from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

In a unique twist, Tata Steel’s CEO & MD T V Narendran will conclude the gala affair by interacting with renowned artists and esteemed visitors on November 4. The corporate leader’s presence is slated to be one of the highlights of the five-day extravaganza.

Ocean artist Subodh Kerkar will engage in social interactions on the evening of November 3. Prior to that, a workshop for children at the Jamshedpur Nature Trail will be conducted by artist Venkat Raman Singh Shyam.

Art critic Lina Vincent will delve into ‘Medium and Metaphors in Contemporary Art’ in her talk on November 2. A day before, on November 1, an Art Therapy workshop by Vivek Sharma is scheduled.

The event will open with an inaugural ceremony conducted by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel. Tata Steel takes immense pride in celebrating the coexistence of creativity and innovation, as evidenced by their meticulously planned schedule of workshops and talks.

Distinguished artists such as Dulari Devi, Chandra Bhattacharjee, and Farhad Hussain will be among those showcasing their artworks, giving the public a rare opportunity to engage with their distinct artistic expressions.
