Jamshedpur Run-a-thon 2023 Gears Up for Record Participation

Tata Steel’s Iconic Marathon to Feature Asian Silver Medallist Jyothi Yarraji and New Categories

Get ready for Tata Steel’s eighth edition of Jamshedpur Run-a-thon 2023 featuring Asian Silver Medallist Jyothi Yarraji, multiple categories, and a record number of participants from 15 states.

JAMSHEDPUR – With Jyothi Yarraji, an Asian Silver Medallist in 100m hurdles, set to flag-off the event, Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur Run-a-thon 2023 promises to elevate the running experience to new heights.

Adding to the runners’ experience, the event will offer Pacer buses in three categories, a new introduction designed to help participants achieve their personal best run time.

Also on the agenda is an expo at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, featuring a range of brands from Natural Foods and Organic Health Shop to Fast&Up and Nexa (Maruti Suzuki), among others.

The organizers are offering special discounts to boost participation. Groups of 20 or more participants are eligible for a 15% discount under the ‘Fit Together’ scheme, and families of four or more members receive a 10% ‘Fit Family’ discount.

T-Shirts and BIBs will be distributed to registered participants on November 3-4 between 9:00 AM-1:30 PM and 2:30 PM-6:30 PM at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Participants hailing from as far as Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Odisha, and even Andaman & Nicobar have thrown their hats into the ring for this grand event.

The runs will be categorized into four segments: 2 km (Fun Run), 5 km (Boys & Girls), 7 km (Men & Women), and 10 km (Men & Women). While the 2-KM is a Fun Run open to all, the other three competitive categories will have prize money and specific age criteria.

As the last date for online and offline registration looms on November 3, this year’s marathon is slated for November 5, starting from 6 AM at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
