Bagbera police have launched an investigation into the suicide of Sunil Kumar Pillay, a railway worker, to determine if any abetment was caused in suicide. The police will question the IOW of the railway, along with other personnel. The incident has caused tension among railway workers, although they have chosen to remain silent for professional reasons.
JAMSHEDPUR: Bagbera police have initiated an investigation into the alleged abetment caused in Sunil Kumar Pillay suicide case. Late Pillay was a loco shed technician for the Tatanagar railway.
The authorities have discovered that the businessman, Omprakash Kasera, has left for Kolkata.
Two RPF officers and a jawan will soon be interrogated by the police, and a letter has been sent to the Railways requesting the presence of IOW RK Singh and other Engineering Department personnel for questioning.
An internal investigation is also underway at the Chakradharpur Railway Division.
The incident has sparked resentment towards IOW among railway workers, although they are maintaining silence for professional reasons.
In a tragic incident on June 28, Sunil Kumar Pillay, a railway worker, set himself on fire in protest against the alleged acquisition of property in the Bagbera Traffic Colony by a businessman Omprakash Kasera, as well as the involvement of the RPF and Railway Engineering Department.
Sunil Kumar succumbed to his injuries on July 2.
His wife, Nirupama Pillay, has filed a complaint against the businessman and named Railway IOW RK Singh, RPF Inspector GK Rai, ASI SK Pandey, and Jawan Amarendra Kumar as responsible for abetment.
