Tata Steel Adventure Foundation Dominates 25th East Zone Sport Climbing Championship
TSAF’s Stellar Performance Earns 39 Medals in Darjeeling; Sub Jr Category Clean Sweep Highlights Robust Grassroots System
Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) emerges as the frontrunner with an awe-inspiring 39 out of 47 medals at the 25th East Zone Sport Climbing Championship in Darjeeling.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) has outshone its competitors at the 25th East Zone Sport Climbing Championship, held from October 13 to 16 at the Sport Climbing Walls of the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling.
The event saw participation from a TSAF contingent of 88 climbers along with coaches, a physiotherapist, and a manager, representing Jharkhand.
Astonishingly, TSAF bagged an unprecedented 39 out of 47 medals, showcasing the effectiveness of its training programs, which are supported by the Tata Steel Foundation and JCAPCPL.
The foundation’s commitment to fostering emerging talent was evident, as 15 of these medals were clinched by youngsters from Masti Ki Pathshala.
Additionally, TSAF displayed a robust grassroots structure by sweeping all 18 medals in the Sub Jr category.
The championship featured a diverse lineup of participants from states including Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.
The remarkable performance of the TSAF team positions them well for the upcoming National Sport Climbing Championship 2023.
