PM Modi’s LPG Price Cut Dubs as Raksha Bandhan Gift in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur Minority Women Tie Rakhi to Ex-CM Raghubar Das, Laud Modi for LPG Price Cut and Triple Talaq Abolition
Ahead of Rakshabandhan, PM Modi’s announcement to slash LPG prices stirs politics in Jamshedpur, with minority women expressing gratitude and tying Rakhi to former CM Raghubar Das.
JAMSHEDPUR – Ahead of the festive season, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to cut the prices of LPG cylinders has set the political cauldron bubbling in Jamshedpur.
Labeled as an "election stunt" by the opposition, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) counters it as the Prime Minister’s Raksha Bandhan gift to the nation’s women.
Despite the political divide, the residents of Jamshedpur, particularly minority women, are hailing the move.
On Raksha Bandhan, these women didn’t just stop at tying rakhis around the wrists of their brothers; they extended the ceremony to the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das.
Alongside this, the women expressed gratitude not just for the cut in LPG prices but also for the abolition of the controversial triple talaq law.
"Today’s event transcends mere ceremony; it reflects the impact of policy changes on everyday lives," said one of the minority women.
