Husband Stabs Wife at Kadma’s Bhatia Basti; Victim Shifted to TMH

Asha Devi, living apart from husband for 1.5 months, stabbed by husband Lalu Yadav in Bhatia Basti; Husband absconds, victim in TMH.

JAMSHEDPUR – Lalu Yadav, husband of Asha Devi, attacked her with a knife as she was about to leave for school on Thursday morning at Bhatia Basti in Kadma.

Asha was left bleeding heavily on the road, while her husband carried out the act and then fled the area.

B Chanchal, a passerby, witnessed the incident and asked for help from others, and Asha was transferred to TMH for treatment.

For the past 1.5 months, Asha has been living apart from her husband and works at the home of Sandeep Gorai, a resident of Bhatia Basti.

Sandeep recalled how Asha’s child came to her crying in the morning and informed her about the event, prompting immediate medical attention at TMH.

Sandeep further revealed that Asha’s husband frequently clashes with his wife and consumes alcohol, leading to their separation.

The whereabouts of the alleged spouse are currently unknown, and a search for him is ongoing.
