Giridih Bus Accident: Vehicle Plunges into Barakar River, Casualties Feared
A bus carrying around 30 passengers met with a tragic accident, plunging into the Barakar River in Giridih.
GIRIDIH – A major bus accident occurred in Giridih as a Samrat bus traveling from Ranchi to Giridih plunged into the Barakar River.
The incident, which took place late on Saturday evening, created panic in the area.
There were approximately 30 passengers aboard the bus at the time of the accident.
Early reports suggest that a significant number of people may have drowned, while others sustained injuries.
According to the information, the driver lost control, leading to the fatal accident.
Local residents and police quickly arrived at the scene to begin rescue operations.
One passenger’s body has already been recovered from the river, and ten others have been safely rescued.
However, the exact extent of the damage, in terms of loss of life and property, is yet to be fully determined.
Giridih’s DC Naman Priyesh Lakra and SP Deepak Sharma also arrived at the scene to supervise the ongoing rescue efforts.
Given the severity of the accident, a palpable tension has taken hold of the area, with local people joining in the rescue efforts.
