Inner Wheel Club Hosts Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign
Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur organizes an event on World Breastfeeding Awareness Week, educating women on the benefits of breastfeeding.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Inner Wheel Club in Jamshedpur hosted an educational event focused on breastfeeding awareness as part of the global World Breastfeeding Awareness Week.
In a concerted effort to promote healthier practices among new mothers, the club stressed the numerous benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child.
Club Convenor PP Nalini Ramamurthy and PP Varsha Gandhi addressed the gathered audience, explaining how mothers could prevent several severe illnesses by choosing to breastfeed their infants.
They highlighted that breastfeeding mothers have a lower risk of developing breast cancer and that breastfed children have stronger immune systems.
These points were underscored as essential topics of discussion in promoting overall health and well-being in the community.
Sixty to seventy women were present for this impactful session, and the club provided biscuits for all attendees.
Inner Wheel Club’s President Archana Shekhar, Secretary Agnes Boyle, Anu Sehgal, and Archana Singh were also present at the event, demonstrating their support for this crucial awareness campaign.
