BJP Leader Subodh Jha Urges Administration for Sanitization and Drinking Water Aid in Bagbera
Subodh Jha, BJP leader and BMVS president, requests the district administration for sanitization services and clean drinking water supply in Bagbera due to flood water contamination.
JAMSHEDPUR – "Thanks to the commendable efforts of the district administration, local police, and social workers, the water was drained out on Wednesday night," said the message from Subodh Jha, the president of Bagbera Mahanagar Vikas Samiti (BMVS) and BJP leader.
Jha suggested that the Health Department could also provide aid to the locals through free medical camps, due to the risk of diseases from drinking contaminated water.
"The demand for safe drinking water is critical as drinking polluted water may cause ailments that are fatal," Jha said in the press release.
He explained that the water from all hand pump bases and bore-wells had become unsafe for consumption due to the infiltration of floodwater.
Therefore, he has urged the district administration to send out tankers with clean drinking water and also carry out sanitization services, including spraying bleaching powder in the flood-affected areas.
The urgent need for these services is particularly evident in areas in and around Naya Basti in Bagbera.
