Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi Calls for Govt Take Over of Patmada Degree College Jalla
Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi urged the government to take over Patmada Degree College Jalla, to ensure access to quality education for local youths during the Monsoon Session of the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a call for better access to education for the youth in the region, Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi urged the government to assume control of Patmada Degree College Jalla during the Zero Hour of the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha Monsoon Session on Tuesday.
Patmada Degree College Jalla, which opened in 1993, is situated in the remote, tribal, and predominantly native Patmada block, about 30 km from the administrative centre of Jamshedpur.
The college, holding a B- rating from NAAC accreditation, has been an affiliate of Ranchi University and Kolhan University in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
Kalindi emphasized the need for government intervention, "keeping in mind the future of the young of that region, so that the children of the area do not have to go to Jamshedpur for further education."
