PM Modi Initiates Nursing College Construction in Kodarma
New B.Sc Nursing College and Hostel to Elevate Koderma’s Healthcare Education
The foundation for a B.Sc Nursing College and Hostel in Karma, Koderma, set by PM Modi, marks a significant step towards enhancing local healthcare education.
RANCHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has digitally laid the foundation for a new B.Sc Nursing College and Hostel in Karma, located in the Koderma district, with an investment of around Rs 24 crore 51 lakh.
The online foundation stone laying ceremony was complemented by a local event attended by Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi, MLA Dr. Neera Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Megha Bhardwaj, among other dignitaries.
The proposed nursing college, situated opposite a Medical College Hospital whose foundation was also laid by PM Modi in 2018, promises to be a landmark development in the region.
The ceremony included PM Modi’s address and the symbolic unveiling of the stone slab, signaling the project’s commencement.
Annapurna Devi highlighted the college’s potential to be a developmental milestone for Kodarma, offering new opportunities in employment and education for the youth.
MLA Neera Yadav praised the initiative as a significant contribution to improving health facilities in a region defined by its valleys.
With plans to admit 60 students annually, the college is expected to open doors to local youth, aiming for completion by August 24, 2025.
This educational infrastructure is poised to bolster healthcare services and provide a new spectrum of opportunities for Koderma’s youth.
