Thieves target Mandir donation box in Sitaramdera this time
Two shops also targeted, thieves manage to escape with valuables, cash
Jamshedpur: Thieves have once again targeted the donation box of a mandir in Sitaramdera and escaped with cash. They also broken into two shops in Sitaramdera police station area and managed to flee without any problem.
According to information received, the thieves broke into two provisions shops in Sitaramdera area. They managed to steal one laptop, one CCTV Set UP Box and Rs. 2000 in cash from one shop. However, they could not succeed in stealing anything from another shop. However, they targeted the donation box in a nearby Mandir and escaped with around Rs. 30 thousand in cash.
The theft and targeting of mandir donation box has caused a lot of resentment in the area.
The locals are not happy with the night patrolling done by the police department.
In the city, several incidents of theft in mandir have been reported from different areas in the recent times.
Kali Mandir in Bistupur Maila Tanki area was targeted twice by unidentified thieves, while the donation box of Mahaveer Mandir in Adityapur was also targeted by the thieves a few months back.
In none of the cases, the police were able to nab the culprits.
