Petar Sliskovic, a seasoned Croatian striker, has officially signed a one-year contract with Jamshedpur FC, joining from Chennaiyin FC.
JAMSHEDPUR – Men of Steel, Jamshedpur FC has officially confirmed the signing of Petar Sliskovic, a seasoned Croatian striker, on a one-year contract.
Jamshedpur FC also confirmed that Sliskovic will wear the number nine jersey in the upcoming season.
The club’s Head Coach Scott Cooper expressed his optimism about Sliskovic’s performance, believing that his previous experience and ability to score goals will add value to the team.
Sliskovic is no stranger to international play, having made appearances for the Croatian U21 team alongside notable players such as Ivan Perisic, Dejan Lovren, Mateo Kovacic, and Ivan Rakitic.
After moving to India, Sliskovic voiced his eagerness to play for Jamshedpur FC and expressed his anticipation to perform in front of the Furnace crowd, known for its loud and passionate fanbase.
Before his stint in India, Sliskovic had a prolific career, including playing for FSV Mainz in Germany under the guidance of current Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel.
He made a significant impact on Chennaiyin FC, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists in just 17 appearances, establishing his reputation as a formidable striker with technical proficiency and strength.
