Croatian striker Petar Sliskovic is set to make a big impact at Jamshedpur FC, following a strong showing in the previous Hero ISL season with Chennaiyin FC.

JAMSHEDPUR – Starting from the end of the story, Sliskovic shared his excitement for the upcoming Hero ISL season, looking forward to having fans watch him live at the Furnace.

The striker admires fellow football players and considers Cristiano Ronaldo, Edin Dzeko and Zlatan Ibrahimovic not only his favourites but also contemporaries from whom he learns a lot.

Falling in love with India, its culture and people, Sliskovic confessed his joy at the decision to stay for another year after Jamshedpur FC contacted him.

Remembering the highlights of his career, he reflected on scoring a goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga in front of 80,000 cheering fans, which he recalls as an unforgettable sensation.

Sliskovic attributed his passion for football to his uncle, a notable figure in Croatian and Bosnian football.

Sliskovic is all set to wear Jamshedpur FC’s number nine jersey, following his commendable performance in the last season, which led to the team recognising his capabilities.

His successful stint at Chennaiyin FC, which saw him score 8 goals and provide 4 assists in just 17 appearances, set a strong foundation for his future success.

Starting his journey with a bang, Sliskovic scored three goals for Chennaiyin in the Durand Cup, demonstrating his goal-scoring prowess.

Having started as a relatively unknown figure, the Croatian striker soon proved his worth, creating a buzz among the fans and setting high expectations for his tenure at Jamshedpur FC.
