Seiminlen Doungel Extends Contract With Jamshedpur FC

Versatile Winger Commits To Club Until 2024-25 ISL Season

The experienced player aims to help the team reclaim its position at the top of the league table.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur FC has secured the services of Seiminlen Doungel, popularly known as Len, until the end of the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season, with a potential performance-based extension.

"I have unfinished business from the last two seasons," Doungel stated, expressing his commitment to the club’s success.

The 30-year-old winger has been a crucial part of Jamshedpur FC for the past four seasons, contributing to their ISL Shield-winning campaign.

Doungel’s versatility allows him to play multiple positions, including attacking midfielder, forward, and winger.

"With head coach Khalid Jamil at the helm, I will work hard and bring in all my experience to make supporters proud," the Manipuri player promised.

Throughout his ISL career, Doungel has represented several clubs including Goa, Kerala Blasters, and Bengaluru FC.

He boasts 63 appearances for Jamshedpur FC, scoring five goals and providing one assist.

Doungel is one of only six Indian players to have scored a hat-trick in the ISL.

His experience extends to the national level, having represented the Indian National Team.

Head Coach Khalid Jamil praised Doungel’s commitment, stating, "Len significantly enhances our attacking capabilities and is defensively strong too."

Jamshedpur FC aims to blend youthful energy with Doungel’s seasoned experience in their quest for silverware.
