Jharkhand Government Schools to Add Books on Dishom Guru Shibu Soren to Libraries

Government schools in Jharkhand to procure books on tribal leader Shibu Soren for students to learn from.

RANCHI – In the most recent cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Jharkhand government has resolved to purchase three books dedicated to the life of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.

The decision, part of the Gyanodaya programme, reflects the government’s commitment to broadening the knowledge of students attending the state’s government schools.

The three books to be purchased include an English-language biography, "Tribal Hero: Shibu Soren", along with its Hindi counterpart "Adivasi Sangharsh Ke Nayak, Suno Baccho Shibu Soren in Gaatha", and a third book named "Dishom Guru: Shibu Soren".

These books depict the life journey of tribal leader Shibu Soren, encapsulating his efforts and struggles.

Finally, these books will be made available in the libraries of government schools in Jharkhand, giving students the opportunity to read and learn from the life and struggles of Shibu Soren, the hero of the tribal conflict.
