Hazaribagh’s Indira Gandhi Girls High School Dominates State Results
Jyotsna Jyoti of Indira Gandhi Girls High School in Hazaribagh topped the Jharkhand Board Class 10 examinations with a stellar 99.2 percent, leading a remarkable dominance of the school in this year’s results. Girls from the same school clinched the top four positions, showcasing a trend of academic excellence.
RANCHI – In a striking display of educational attainment, Jyotsna Jyoti emerged as the state topper in the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) matriculation exams, aspiring to channel her academic success towards a career in medicine.
Hazaribagh’s Indira Gandhi Girls High School students have notably excelled in the recent state exams, with the top four scores being claimed by students from this institution.
Following Jyotsna, Sana Sanjuri secured second place with 98.6 percent, while Karishma Kumar and Srishti Soumya both earned third place with 98.4 percent.
This exceptional achievement was part of a broader success story for Hazaribagh, which boasted a passing percentage of 93.83, one of the highest in the state.
Nineteen of the top 20 scorers from Hazaribagh were students at Indira Gandhi Girls High School, underscoring the school’s focus on high academic standards.

Jyotsna Jyoti, at the pinnacle of her school’s success, shared her dream of pursuing a medical career to make a meaningful contribution to society.
"Every exam I took was a step towards my goal of becoming a doctor, a dream I have cherished to improve healthcare in our community," Jyotsna stated.
Educational Milestones
The total number of students who took the board exam this year reached 4,21,678, spread across 1,238 examination centers throughout Jharkhand.
Out of these, 3,38,398 students passed, with 2,05,110 achieving first division marks. The data revealed a notable trend: 91.91 percent of the female candidates succeeded, compared to 89 percent of their male counterparts.
