JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in Jamshedpur is set to organize an awareness programme on World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10, 2024.
The event, scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:15 pm, will be held at the TMH Auditorium.
Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel, will be the chief guest, lending his presence to underline the importance of corporate responsibility in mental health awareness.
Sanjeev Chaudhary, President of the Tata Workers’ Union, will be the guest of honour, emphasizing the union’s commitment to the well-being of workers.
The programme will also feature a special lecture by Dr. Varun Mehta, a prominent professor of psychiatry from the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi.
Dr. Mehta is expected to address the critical issue of mental health, focusing on preventive measures and the need for community support in reducing suicide rates.
The event is part of a broader initiative by Tata Main Hospital to promote health, happiness, and hygiene under the theme “Wellness For Life.
