Rainy Season Exacerbates Dilapidated Roads in Seraikela-Kharsawan District
The worsening state of roads in Seraikela-Kharsawan due to incessant rains causes inconvenience and risk for commuters.
SERAIKELA – The roads in the Seraikela-Kharsawan Municipal Council area are in a state of disrepair.
Regular commuters, including school-going children, have been victims of accidents due to the dangerous road conditions.
Most roads in this area are currently under construction, with work ongoing for several months now.
However, with the advent of the rainy season, the conditions have deteriorated even further.
Commuters face significant difficulties due to the deplorable state of the roads.
The contractors responsible for the construction work have been tardy, failing to complete the tasks on time.
In response to the situation, Chandil SDO Ranjit Lohara stated that the ongoing rains have delayed the roadworks.
But he assured that in places where the roads are in the worst condition, they would be temporarily made passable by applying dust or shade.
He added that once the rainy season is over, the construction work would be completed.
