JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand Mukti Morcha central member Pramod Lal filed a complaint against former minister Dulal Bhuiyan. The FIR was lodged at Sitaramdera police station on November 28.
Bhuiyan allegedly used offensive language during a press conference. He reportedly called Chief Minister Hemant Soren by derogatory names. The complaint was registered under IPC Section 352.
Lal stated such remarks could disturb state law and order. He emphasized the need for administrative action. Moreover, he highlighted concerns about maintaining social harmony.
The JMM leader demanded appropriate measures from authorities. Administration should act to prevent escalation, he said. Furthermore, the complaint seeks to protect public peace.
A delegation accompanied Lal to the police station. Jharkhand activist Ajay Rajak was present during filing. Additionally, JMM district office secretary Pritam Hembram attended.
Former city secretary Gopal Mahato joined the delegation. Jharkhand activist Sapan Roy also participated. Meanwhile, Rajan Kewart and Sandeep Chakraborty were present.
Other attendees included Prakash Chandra Jha and KP Singh. Pintu Lal was among the workers present. The group submitted their formal complaint together.
The case relates to statements made at a media briefing. Bhuiyan had organized the press conference recently. However, his remarks drew sharp criticism from JMM members.
Party workers expressed strong disapproval of the language used. They demanded strict action against the former minister. On the other hand, police have begun preliminary investigations.
