Johar Haat Exhibition’s Seventh Edition Wraps Up on Friday
Tata Steel Foundation’s Johar Haat exhibition, highlighting the works of tribal entrepreneurs from Jharkhand and West Bengal, will end tomorrow.
JAMSHEDPUR – The seventh edition of the Johar Haat exhibition, hosted by Tata Steel Foundation since July 14, 2023, is set to conclude tomorrow.
This month-long event, held at Prakriti Vihar in Kadma, has welcomed entrepreneurs from more than 4 tribes in Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Centering on the monsoon, this month’s expo featured workshops on Kantha Stitch, Terracotta jewellery creation, and healing techniques as its main attractions.
The concept of Johar Haat was to create a platform specifically for showcasing the artwork, handicrafts, food, and cultural traditions of various Indian tribes over a month-long exhibition. The inaugural Johar Haat event was held earlier this year in January.
