International Chess Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm by Chandan Chess Academy
Chandan Chess Academy hosts lively celebration for International Chess Day, fosters local talent, and promotes the game on July 20.
JAMSHEDPUR – Chandan Chess Academy (CCA) has been recognised for its commendable efforts in promoting chess and cultivating new talent.
International Chess Day, significant to chess enthusiasts worldwide, was celebrated by the academy with a spirited gathering on July 20.
Promising CCA students such as Souryadipta Sarkar, Purab Rushabh Gandhi, Kaavya Mandal, Atharv Adesara, Saanvi Gandhi, Vihaan Uppalapati, Vikhyat, Laisha Singhania, Monali Biswas, and Riyaan Bansal partook in the vibrant festivities.
Guided by Chandan Kumar Parsad, CCA’s head coach and a FIDE arbiter, the event went off without a hitch.
The ceremony was made even more memorable with the presence of noted social worker Akshay Agarwal and esteemed businesswoman R Sarkar as the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.
The celebration, held at the East Layout of Sonari, Jamshedpur, close to the Basanti Durga Puja Maidan, was concluded with a jovial cake-cutting ceremony by CCA students to commemorate the day.
