RANCHI – The Election Commission received a complaint alleging foreign funding acceptance by JLKM chief and Dumri MLA Jairam Mahto.
The complaint came from Rahul Banerjee of West Bengal. He claimed Saudi Arabian sources funded Mahto.
“Such funding violates electoral laws,” stated the complaint to EC.
Investigation Launched
The Chief Electoral Officer ordered a probe. Bokaro DC will lead the investigation.
