AJSU’s Rally Against Corruption: Government Patronage in Land Looting Condemned

Memorandum presented by AJSU leaders at the Bodam block office, critiquing corruption and government-backed land exploitation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Today, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, the AJSU party’s Halla Bol program against corruption took a significant step forward with the delivery of a memorandum at the Bodam block office.

The memorandum, a 29-point demand letter, was also submitted by the leaders.

The rally was led by the Central Chief General Secretary of AJSU Party, Ramchandra Sahis, who initially led a procession from Bodam Bazar to the Bodam block office.

The procession honored notable figures in the region, including martyr Raghunath Mahato, a key leader of the Chuwad rebellion, and Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

A tribute was also made to late Nirmal Mahto, the AJSU party founder who envisioned a separate state.

Addressing the crowd, Sahis expressed dissatisfaction with the current state governance, criticizing the extreme corruption within the electricity department and the lack of regular honorarium for people in the Bodam block.

He emphasized the need to empower the AJSU party to combat such corruption and drive social development forward.

East Singhbhum district in-charge cum Central Secretary, Prof. Ravi Shankar Maurya, highlighted the exploitation of the youth in the state.

He criticized the inadequate educational facilities and high unemployment rate, attributing these issues to systemic corruption within the government.

Kanhaiya Singh, District President, accused the state’s Chief Minister and MLAs of exploiting opportunities for their own gain.

He urged all AJSU workers to expose the government’s corrupt actions to the public, insisting that change can only be brought about through collective action.

The event was attended by several other dignitaries, and hundreds of local residents, demonstrating the broad-based support for AJSU’s anti-corruption campaign.
