SERAIKELA – A successful operation by the Purulia Police led to the rescue of a minor and the arrest of a man named Wahid, under charges of kidnapping.

The incident occurred in Jeevanpur, located under the jurisdiction of the Seraikela police station.

According to police reports, Wahid had abducted a 15-year-old girl from the same locality where he resided in Purulia.

He was living at his maternal uncle’s house at the time of the incident.

The family of the minor had filed a complaint, prompting the police to act swiftly and conduct the raid.

Following the operation, both the minor and Wahid were presented in court before being taken into custody by the police.

This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts by local authorities to address crimes involving minors.
