Priyanka Gandhi Targets PM Modi on Corruption and Electoral Bonds During Godda Campaign Rally
Congress Leader Questions Government’s Silence on Unemployment, Inflation, and Morbi Bridge Collapse
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government during her campaign rally in Godda, where she was supporting Congress candidate Pradeep Yadav. Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of lacking the courage to speak about corruption and questioned the BJP’s use of electoral bonds for receiving donations, alleging that the party was hiding its sources of funding from the public.
GODDA – In a fiery campaign speech in Godda, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government, accusing them of remaining silent on crucial issues such as corruption, unemployment, and inflation.
Gandhi was in Godda to support Congress candidate Pradeep Yadav, whom she portrayed as a local son and a devotee of Baba Baidyanath, in contrast to the incumbent MP Nishikant Dubey, whom she labeled an outsider.
Gandhi also highlighted the government’s alleged failure to address the side effects of the Corona vaccine, claiming that thousands of lives are now at risk and FIRs are being filed worldwide on this matter.
Raising the issue of insider versus outsider, Gandhi questioned whether the people of Godda wanted an outsider as their representative or their own son, Pradeep Yadav, whom she described as a devotee of Baba Baidyanath.
Gandhi further accused the BJP of taking a donation of Rs 50 crore from the company responsible for building the Morbi bridge in Gujarat, which collapsed and claimed more than 100 lives.
Criticizing the government’s silence on unemployment and inflation, Gandhi asserted that people’s lives are in a dire state today, and she presented the Congress party’s "India’s guarantee" as a solution.
The Congress leader enumerated several promises, including depositing one lakh rupees into women’s accounts, extending MSP benefits to 8,500 farmers from July, establishing a department for farmer loan waivers, creating job opportunities for the unemployed by filling 30 lakh vacancies, and ending the Agniveer Yojana.
Gandhi questioned the Modi government’s moral authority to speak on corruption, alleging that it accepts donations from corrupt sources through electoral bonds and insists on keeping the details secret.
Kalpana Soren, who arrived late at the rally, urged the people of Godda to send Pradeep Yadav to Delhi, asserting that his victory would not only ensure India’s victory but also lead to the release of her son, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, from jail.
Priyanka Gandhi saluted Kalpana Soren’s courage, noting that she did not lose heart or cry when her husband went to jail but instead chose to fight hard.
The campaign rally was attended by several prominent Congress leaders, including state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Minister Badal Patralekh, MLAs Deepika Pandey Singh and Irfan Ansari, and state president Rajesh Thakur.
