Shinjini Majumdar from Sacred Heart Aces Frank Anthony Debate at Gulmohur HIgh School
JAMSHEDPUR – Gulmohur High School, Telco, hosted the Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter-School Debate Competition on Monday, July 10. Students from classes XI and XII in the East Zone participated in the event. The topic of intense discussion was "Social Media gives us no scope for having real peers."
Shinjini Majumdar from Sacred Heart Convent School emerged as the winner in the stage I category, securing the top spot.
Moupi Sarkar from Kerala Public School, Kadma, received the first runner-up speaker award. The ‘Best Team’ award was presented to the team from Sacred Heart Convent School, while Hill Top School claimed the second-place prize.
The competition drew participants from various cities, including Patna, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Bhagalpur, and Jamshedpur, representing CICSE institutions. Tania Das from Vidya Bharati Chinmaya School skillfully moderated the event.
The judging panel consisted of Devoshri Banerjee from Shiksha Niketan School, Anuradha Bose from KPS Burmamines, and Tamal Sen from Valley View School.
Both the winning team and the second-place team will advance to the next round of the competition. Principal Priti Sinha of Gulmohur High School, along with process owners Gargi Mukherjee, Baishali Das Gupta, and Jaswinder Kaur, ensured the smooth execution of the event.
